Abstract

130 pages. This report explores the market for condoms in Southeast Asia with primary focus on Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. It provides information on these major countries of Southeast Asia with respect to demand for (ASEAN-5) condoms and identifies the market potential for exports of condoms from Malaysia. The demand for condoms in ASEAN-5 is driven by population growth, government spending, growing incomes and increasing awareness of HIV. The domestic consumption for condoms largely derives from male condoms. The largest market for condoms in Southeast Asia is Indonesia and Thailand.
